Spring Semester

The entire spring semester is spent preparing for our annual showcase, which typically is held late March/early April. Our showcase is a yearly culmination of everyone's hard work. Themes in the past have been Dancing through Time, Good Vibes and Musical Icons.

There are three big group numbers that every club member is featured in. Two of these big dances are choreographed by the Vice President of Choreography and one is choreographed by the President.  Club members spend all of the 90 minutes of club time on Thursdays learning this choreography.

In addition to the group numbers, anyone can choreograph or participate in a small group number! Signups for choreographers are released in mid-January.  Students interested in choreographing simply list their song choice and ideal number of dancers for their number. Any interested dancer can sign up for as few or as many small groups as they would like. Small group practice times are outside of regular club time. There is no need to have choreographing experience. In fact, we encourage first-time choreographers to create a routine

We also tend to have specialty numbers, like a seniors-only dance.

As it gets closer to the show, we have a few extra rehearsals outside of Thursday club time to run through the entire show and have a dress rehearsal.
